Double-dipped CARMLS

Patsy Simmons, one of the most out-spoken critics of CARMLS LLC, has asked to rejoin the Northwest Arkansas multiple-listing service. Only recently her Simmons Group Inc. of Rogers dipped out of the Cooperative Arkansas Realtors Multiple Listing Services Inc.

Simmons had no comment about dipping back in.

Lindsey & Associates Inc. of Rogers, reportedly per an edict from Jim Lindsey himself, is also using CARMLS again. We hear agents in the Rogers office had talked manager John David Lindsey into dropping CARMLS in favor of a Future Business Systems program. But all of Lindsey’s offices will now have the Windows-based CARMLS on line.

The flap over which multiple-listing services to use has lasted nearly a year. It culminated recently with the bulk of Rogers’ main real estate agencies leaving CARMLS.

Now, with the latest reversal, it appears only a few small Rogers and Bentonville companies remain in secession.
