LowFares.com recently surveyed more than 4,000 regular holiday travelers and found that 59% plan to fly this holiday season compared to the 41% who did so in 2008.

On the flip side, only 28% plan no holiday travel, an improvement from the 40% who abstained from 2008 holiday travel.

"The LowFares.com survey shows that consumers are ready to fly again — good news for the travel industry,” Greg Samson, general manager of LowFares.com, said in a statement. “The survey is useful to us, as it lets us provide better options for travelers. It’s also helpful to the industry to know we’re likely approaching a rebound.”
