Larry “Beau” Stricklin is considering running as a Democrat against U.S. Rep. John Boozman, R-Rogers, in the 2010 congressional election cycle.

Stricklin tells Talk Business — a content partner with The City Wire — he plans to form an exploratory committee. Stricklin is an Iraq War veteran, a native of Hatfield (near Mena) and lives in Russellville where he serves as a logistics officer at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock.

“I’m a conservative Democrat and believe that the Republican Party has lost their way in regards to their view on big government, civil liberties, and siding with the people over government and business. In short, the GOP has lost touch with the American people,” Stricklin said in his interview with Talk Business.
