Dan Stephen King, 77, of Mountainburg, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, in Van Buren. He was born June 20, 1949, in Austin, Texas to the late John and Mary Ruth (McGregor) King. He had worked for Watkins Monuments.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha King.
He is survived by two daughters, Stacey Parker and husband Charles of Alma, and Melissa Meadors of Rudy; a brother, Johnny King of Austin; five grandchildren, Taylor Parker, Kayla Tatum, Austin Meadors, Madison Jones, and Ethan Parker; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Pope Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Charles Parker, Taylor Parker, Ethan Parker, Brent Meadors, Austin Meadors, and Chance Nelson.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
