Johnny Wayne Harris

Johnny Wayne Harris, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, died Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on October 30, 1946, in the Arbuckle Island Community near Lavaca to the late John H. Harris and Geneva M. (Stamper) Harris. He was 79 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Eugene Harris.

Johnny was an auto mechanic, a truck driver, worked in the oilfields, and later delivered chemicals for the oilfield industry.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26th at the Island Cemetery, located northeast of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by a brother, Roger Harris of Springtown, Texas.
