William George Cooksey

William George Cooksey, 82, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in Greenwood. He was born September 6, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri to George and Roxie (Cape) Cooksey. He worked for many years in the construction industry, where he became well-respected and made lasting friendships.

William is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, Michael and Robert; one daughter, Sarah; and several grandchildren. He was a dedicated family man who treasured his time spent with his loved ones.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the McConnell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
