Shirley R. Harrison

Shirley R. Harrison, 88, of Arkoma, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was born on November 29, 1937 in Fort Smith, AR to Ray and Annie (Freeman) Culverson. She was a retired packer from Wortz Biscuit Company. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkoma and was a Middle Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Harrison, a sister Reba Culverson a nephew Harold Blanscet and her brother-in-law, Philip Unruh.

Funeral services are Saturday, January 17, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Arkoma with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.

She is survived by her nieces, Diana Blanscet of Van Buren, AR and Debbie Tate of Lawton, OK; a sister, Jo Ann Unruh of Van Buren, AR; three nephews, Rodney Hutcheson of Norman, OK, Scott Culverson of Branson, MO and Jerry Unruh of Fort Smith; three great nieces, Brooke Harris, Rosalyn Fraysur and Amy Wingree; three great nephews, Karston Hutcheson, Dustin Blanset and Jesse Copeland; several great great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Jerry Unruh, Scott Culverson, Alex Harris, Ruben Rogers, Randy Harrison and Jarek Fraysur.
