James Dennis Jones Sr. 86, of Cedarville, AR passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026 in Van Buren. He was born on October 31, 1939 in Van Buren to the late Roy Estel and Mary (Magurie) Jones. He was a long-time paper route and truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Roy Jones Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Retha Jones; three daughters, Debra Burcham and husband Henry of Mountainburg, Kathy McCabe of Van Buren and Keren Burcham of Cedarville; a son, James D. Jones Jr. and wife Bonnie of Van Buren; two sisters, Sue Thomas and Mary Miller; a brother, Edger Jones; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Monday, January 19, 2026 at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery. The family will visit with relatives and friends from 2-4 P.M. on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the funeral home, 700 Jefferson St.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Burcham, Chris Hughes, Adrean McCabe, Adam Puckett, Cameron Jones and Brandon Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan Nance, Seath Brooks, Denzel Davies and Montoleato Modisett.
