Barbara Joan Curtis

Barbara Joan Curtis, 93, of Fort Smith passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025 in Fort Smith, AR. She was born in Tulsa, OK on October 3, 1932 to the late William Edwin and Helen (Harp) Buster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erschel Van Curtis; two sisters, Sue Hahn and Betty Houseman; and a grandson, Ryan Curtis.

She is survived by her three sons, Phil Curtis and wife Sherri of Fort Smith, Scott Curtis and wife Barbie of Van Buren and Dan Curtis and wife Jo Ellen of Reno, NV; a sister, Carol Renfroe and husband Fred of Seattle, WA; four grandsons, Sean Curtis, Josh Curtis, Jordan Curtis and Zachary Cordell.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren. No services are scheduled at this time.
