Jeremiah “Jerry” Kamey, 85, of Fort Smith passed away on Friday January 2, 2026 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born January 19, 1940 in New York, NY to Paul and Kasia (Mahoney) Kamey. Jerry was retired from the 188th Arkansas Air National Guard and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and Korea and attended Unity Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home; two daughters, Janet Hulbert and her husband Arthur of Siloam Springs and Julie Ann Bergen and her husband William of Fort Smith; one sister, Alex Ramsey of Flagstaff, AZ; one brother, Aaron Hiibel and his wife Diana of Belmont, NV; three grandchildren, Hannah Butler and her husband Brittan, Emma and Kami Hulbert; four great-grandchildren, Rhett Butler, Scout Butler, Creed Butler and Matthew Butler.

Graveside funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at the U.S. National Cemetery with full honors under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
