Michael Leslie Flowers was born in Altus, Oklahoma, and passed away suddenly while attending their town’s Christmas parade in Panama, Oklahoma, on December 13, 2025, at the age of 67 years.

Michael moved to California in 1965 with his parents and grew up in Delhi, California. Michael attended Delhi schools and graduated from Livingston High School in 1976. He married his beloved wife, Renee, at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Turlock, California, on March 19, 1977.

Michael was a jack of many trades! His first job was at Exxon gas station in Delhi, California. To follow, he worked at Park In Market, International Paper Co., owner and operator of Bubb’s Big Burgers, and Windsor Court Apartments – all in Turlock, California. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked as a Security Officer at the Hacienda Hotel Casino, then as an apartment maintenance guru at Mountainside Apartments. He advanced his skills, becoming HVAC, small-appliance, and pool-certified. Upon moving back to California, he worked at Windmere Apartments in Ceres. His final career was driving a bus and working in the maintenance department for the Delhi Unified School District, where he retired after 20 years of dedication and mentorship. He fulfilled his dream of retiring, moving to Oklahoma, and building his own home.

He was known for his love of his family, friends, and fishing, Michael was an avid fisherman and bowler. He loved to fish for salmon and sturgeon in the Sacramento Delta. He cherished traveling in his RV and camping at McSwain Lake. Michael was a member of the Meat Cutters Union, International Paper Workers Union, CSEA, Disabled Veterans of America, Delhi Booster Club, and AARP.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Renee Flowers, of 49 years; his son, Michael Flowers, Jr.; his beloved five grandchildren, Brianna Mitchell, Grant Mitchell, Michael Flowers III, William Flowers, and Juliette Iris Flowers; his cherished three great-grandsons Brian Sanders III, Peter Sanders, and Matthew Sanders; his brother Perry Kim (Stephanie) Flowers; nieces and nephews; and family and friends.

He will truly be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Flowers Mitchell, his parents, Jack and Shirley Flowers, and many other loved ones.

A private service will be held at a later date.
