Betty Thomas

Betty Thomas, age 82, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025 in Van Buren. She was born on March 5, 1943, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother, and she is survived by her two children, Jennifer and Michael, and her four grandchildren. Betty was known for her kindness and dedication to her community, volunteering at local shelters and participating in church activities.

The family will receive friends at the Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Van Buren on December 24, from 4 PM to 6 PM. A memorial service will be held on December 25 at 1 PM at the same location, followed by a burial at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
