James Leon “Jim” Pendleton, 82 of Van Buren passed away peacefully Thursday, October 16, 2025, in his home. He was the owner/operator of Faux Pas night club in Fort Smith. He was then employed by Area Agency on Aging as a driver and worked at SWTR for newspapers in education in local schools. He spent many years coaching on the baseball field and served as Babe Ruth Baseball Regional Commissioner. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Beulah (Millsap) Pendleton; one daughter Jimmilee Pendleton; one grandson Gaige Rogers.

He is survived by two daughters Carree Lynn Brewer and husband Kenny of Van Buren and Maelena Glass and husband Grady Jr. of Virginia; three sons James Pendleton Jr and wife Lisa of Van Buren, Jeff Rogers of Rogers, Arkansas and Rodger Ross; seven grandchildren Taylor (Chrenda), Connor (Haley) Samuel (Kenzie), Danielle (Kyle), Jayme (Tony), Hayden and Paige; eleven great-grandchildren Laila, Jaxyn, Mason, Tristan, Chandler, Clair, Blakelynn, Noa, Myles, Gavin and Khai; a cousin Emilee Kindel.

Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday October 18, 2025, at Ocker Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the funeral home under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Connor Joyce, Hayden Pendleton, Chuck Lamb, Tony Khokeo, James Pendleton Jr., Jeff Rogers, Kenny Brewer, and Grady Glass Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hyles, Ken Kifer, Samuel Glass.
