Michael Ray Garland, 70, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in his home.
He worked at Rheem for over forty years. Michael was a devoted husband, dad and pawpaw; he enjoyed fishing, gardening and his granddaughters sporting events. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Garland and his father Donald Ray Garland.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2025 at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacey and husband Jeremy Caldwell of Alma; his granddaughters, Kinslee and Rowan: his mother, Shirley (Leggitt) Henry of Purcell, Oklahoma; one sister, Vickie Garland of Purcell, Oklahoma; two brother, Jason Garland of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Scott Maxwell of Kyle, Texas.
