Nancy E. “Molly” Bowling, 83, of Van Buren, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. She was born October 4, 1941, in Pampa, Texas, to the late Thomas and Stella (Hoover) Moon.
Molly was an Army wife, homemaker, and the heart of her family. She was a loving mother, GrandMolly, and great-Grandmolly. Everyone was welcome in her home, and no one ever left empty-handed—whether it was with a full belly or a crocheted blanket.
Molly was unapologetically herself — growing up she ran wild with the boys, she refused to wear pearls her senior year and never forgot the yellow dress her mama made her wear to church. As an adult, she stuck to blue jeans, boots and her iconic cowboy hat. She was never scared to speak her mind. Her strength, warmth, and unconditional love will be remembered always.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Dennis Bowling; and brothers, Buddy and Michael Moon.
She is survived by her children, Cinnamon, Dennis, Ernest (Teresita), and Brock (Kimberly); siblings, Stella, Melinda, Benton, and Wake; 13 grandchildren, A.J. Codey, Amanda, Teresita, Lexus, Dustin, Nathan, Honey, Michael, Cheyene, Yasmin, Ryder and Raine; 10 great-grandchildren, and many others who she considered family.
Services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 29, at Ocker Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow at Bowling Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 28, from 4–6 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
