Zana Willey, age 97, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, grace, and generosity.

Born on July 2, 1928, Zana lived a full life marked by her love of family, her passion for service, and her unmistakable flair for hospitality and style.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Willey, and her granddaughter, Tara Willey.

Zana is survived by her two sons: William Willey Jr. and his wife Pam of Lubbock, TX, Brandon Willey and his wife Tenley of Fort Smith, AR. Her grandchildren include Erin Lowe and her husband Ron of Lubbock, TX; Morgan Willey of Lubbock; Allison Efurd and husband Austin of Springdale, AR; Lauren Taylor and husband Brian of Fayetteville, AR; and Matt Willey of Fayetteville. Zana was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

Zana had a gift for nurturing and teaching. She faithfully taught the senior high girls Sunday School class and sang in the choir at First Baptist Church, Hobbs, NM for many years, touching countless lives with her wisdom, encouragement, and faith. A driven and stylish entrepreneur, she owned and operated two women’s clothing stores and a men’s clothing store in Hobbs. Her life was as vibrant as her wardrobe. An avid traveler, Zana explored the world with joy. She was also a gracious and generous hostess, known for get-togethers filled with laughter, and unforgettable memories. Zana also lent her services as fashion coordinator and chaperone to several Miss New Mexico contestants in Atlantic City.

Zana will be remembered not only for her accomplishments, but for her loving spirit, boundless energy, and devotion to her faith and family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 3pm – 5pm, at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, Ar 72901. A private family service will be held to honor her life.
