UA Little Rock named Allen Stanley, a CPA with more than 25 years experience in finance and higher education administration, as as the new vice chancellor for finance and administration.

Stanley joins UA Little Rock from the University of Central Arkansas, where he was the associate vice president for finance. Prior to UCA, Allen had a long history with UA Little Rock, beginning his career as an accountant in 1998. Throughout his time at the university, he also worked as a grants manager, accountant for the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, director of financial services, and associate vice chancellor for finance.

“I’m delighted to welcome Allen back as our new vice chancellor for finance and administration,” said Chancellor Christina Drale. “Not only is he highly respected by the campus community, but he brings with him a deep understanding of our institution’s financial landscape and its mission. I’m confident that Allen will play a vital role in advancing the university’s strategic goals and ensuring the long-term financial health of our institution. We look forward to his insights and collaboration as we continue to strive for continuous improvement.”

Stanley earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration-accounting from the University of Central Arkansas and a master’s degree in business administration from UA Little Rock. A North Little Rock resident, he is a member of the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.

“I am honored to return to UA Little Rock as the vice chancellor for finance and administration,” Allen said. “I am eager to collaborate with the dedicated faculty, staff, and leadership to ensure the university’s financial sustainability and growth. Together, we will work to create a strong foundation for the future, empowering the university to continue making a transformative impact on its students and the community.”

Stanley replaces Jerry Ganz, who left in December to pursue other work opportunities.
