A Kansas hospitality management company is investing in multiple new hotel projects in Benton County.

In May, Wichita-based TGC Group paid Sitton Group LLC $737,500 for a 1.34-acre lot on Southeast East Point Avenue in Bentonville. The property is adjacent to Home2 Suites by Hilton Bentonville/Rogers at 3100 S.E. E. Point Ave., just off northbound Interstate 49.

Jill Taylor, TGC Group’s marketing director, said the site will be developed for My Place Hotels, a franchise company based in South Dakota. The 26,000-square-foot property will have 63 rooms, and construction should start this fall. It will be My Place Hotels’ first Arkansas property.

“Our goal is to open the doors to our guests by the fourth quarter of 2024,” Taylor said.

In Rogers, TGC Group’s plans include a 48,660-square-foot hotel with 106 rooms. The 1.43-acre site is adjacent to Pleasant Crossing Commons at 4305 Pleasant Crossing Blvd. in the city’s Pleasant Crossing development east of Interstate 49.

TGC Group has filed a preliminary development plan with the city for technical review. The four-story project is called Woodspring Suites.

Taylor declined to comment on that project, pending city approval.
