Joe Kolb elected president of Arkansas Bar Association
Little Rock attorney Joe Kolb was sworn in as president of the Arkansas Bar Association on June 17, 2022, during the group’s annual meeting at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Kolb is the principal member of the law firm j. k o l b in Little Rock. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Hendrix College and his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
He practices in the areas of bankruptcy, business, and corporate law.
The Association has honored him with two Presidential Awards of Excellence for his service as Association Treasurer, a position he held for four years. He was also awarded a Presidential Award of Excellence for co-chairing the 2020 Annual Meeting and a Golden Gavel Award for his work as co-chair of the 2018 Mid-Year Meeting.
He has served on the Arkansas Bar Association Commission on Diversity and Inclusion and the By-Laws Drafting Sub-Committee. He has led the Association as chair of the Finance Committee and as chair of the Audit Committee and has served on the Hall of Fame Sponsorship Committee, the Engagement Task Force, the Committee for a Modern Judiciary, the CLE Committee, the Strategic Governance Task Force, and the Governance Committee.
The Arkansas Bar Association was founded in 1898 and is recognized as the premier legal advocacy association in the state with more than 5,000 members.
