Matthew Allen learned how to work hard from his father and grandfather. “It was ingrained in me,” he said. “My grandfather always said he’s never considered himself the smartest person in the room, but he was always the hardest working.”
Allen’s hard work is paying off. “Matthew’s clients tell us he’s a future industry leader,” said Marshall Saviers, CEO of Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners.
In the past six months, Allen’s projects included negotiating 45,000 square feet of lease space for Activision, She Said Yes, Raymond James, Eason Counseling, Snap Fitness and Northwest Physicians. He’s also expanded his experience into the sales and capital markets by helping a healthcare real estate investment trust.
Respected by his colleagues, Allen has been asked to co-list on high-profile assets like office space in downtown Fayetteville, the new co-working space in Founders Plaza in Rogers and retail space in Bentonville.
“Matthew has big picture vision with down-to-earth grit. He knows the area, he knows the players, and he uses that knowledge to benefit all parties,” said Lee Lyles, co-founder of The Lyles Group.
A Northwest Arkansas native, Allen graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2018 with an agricultural business degree. He worked for Citizens Bank during and after school. However, he’d always been interested in real estate because his father is in the business, so he took an associate position with Sage Partners in July 2019.
“I saw the growth in our community, and that drew me into it,” he said. “I like having a job that benefits the community. A lot of what we do brings jobs to the community and raises the desirability of the area for people to come and live here.”
Allen enjoys “meeting people from all different backgrounds that have different ideas and are from different parts of the country and the world — entrepreneurs with cool, new innovative ideas.” He enjoys being part of the new concepts and creativity they bring to Northwest Arkansas.
A calculated thinker, Allen’s goal is to be recognized as an expert in investment sales.
Active in a young adults ministry at Cross Church and Tommy’s Nite Out, a fundraiser for co-worker Tommy Van Zandt, Allen also enjoys concerts, the lake with friends and playing golf.
