Tyson Foods no longer sells Yappah Chicken Crisp snacks, a product that was launched nearly two years ago through the company’s product innovation lab. A brief notice on the Yappah website details the product’s demise.

The company said the product did not offer the viability that would enable continued investment.

The products were launched in May 2018 as a way to help complete the food loop, a sustainability goal. The products were made up of “upcycled  chicken breast trim” that was combined with vegetable puree from juicing or spent grain.

Yappah was sold online by Tyson Foods and Amazon and tested in supermarkets in the Chicago area earlier this year.
