Brent Morgan to lead Central Arkansas region for Farmers & Merchants Bank
Farmers & Merchants Bank announced the appointment of Brent Morgan as Regional President for Central Arkansas, as the Stuttgart-based bank expands its presence in the Little Rock market.
In his new role, Morgan will provide strategic leadership across the bank’s Central Arkansas operations, supporting businesses, professionals and community members throughout the region. Morgan is based in Little Rock.
Morgan brings more than 25 years of banking experience to the position. Before joining Farmers & Merchants Bank, he spent over 15 years at Bank OZK, where he served as SVP Commercial Banking, Little Rock Market President, President–Central Arkansas Division, and President–Commercial Banking South Arkansas, also leading the bank’s Business Aviation Group from 2017 to 2024.
He has held commercial lending roles at BancorpSouth from 2002 to 2011 and at Metropolitan National Bank from 1999 to 2002.

“I could not be more excited to be joining Farmers & Merchants Bank,” Morgan said. “Farmers & Merchants has a longstanding history of serving Arkansas communities, and the chance to bring this to Little Rock is an exciting new chapter both for the bank and for me. It’s obvious that the Board, bank leadership, and entire banking team was the perfect fit.”
A native of Little Rock and a graduate of Catholic High School, Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Banking in 1998 and an MBA in 1999, both from the University of Arkansas. He graduated magna cum laude from the Barret School of Banking in Memphis in 2008.
Headquartered in Stuttgart, Farmers & Merchants Bank is a locally-owned community bank with $1.9 billion in assets and 26 locations across Arkansas, including eight operating as The Bank of Fayetteville.
