Joyce Ann Dobbs
Joyce Ann (Boone) Dobbs, of Hackett, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on June 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce shared more than 43 years of marriage with her beloved husband, John “Mike” Michael Dobbs, who preceded her in death.
Joyce was born to Mary Turner and the late Calvin Boone and was raised in a loving home by her mother and father, Mary and Bill Turner, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughter, Amee Davis of Muldrow, Oklahoma; her sister, Linda Whited and her lifelong companion, Donnie Swindle, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her brother, Roger Boone and his companion, Joseph Chasteen, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and her stepsons, Michael Dewayne Dobbs and his wife, Ladonna, and Larry Paul Dobbs and his wife, Kellie, all of Springdale, Arkansas.
Joyce’s memory lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Zachary Bridges and his wife, Lachan, of Springdale, Arkansas; Wesley Dobbs of Springdale, Arkansas; Andrea Dobbs of New Hampshire; Calvin Dobbs of Conway, Arkansas; and Hannah Grace Dobbs of Springdale, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren, Nicoli, Lorelai, and Rosalind.
Joyce retired from Total Truck & Equipment in Van Buren, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Southside High School and a lifetime member of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.), where she faithfully served as chapter secretary for more than a decade. In recognition of her years of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to protecting children, she was awarded the Aegis Patch, an Honorary Lifetime Membership.
Joyce will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her passion for cooking, and the warm, welcoming home she created for everyone who walked through her door. She was outspoken, strong-willed, fiercely loyal, and never hesitated to stand up for those she loved. She especially enjoyed long motorcycle rides through the Talihina Mountains with Mike and spending summer days floating the Illinois River.
Though she will be deeply missed, Joyce’s love, strength, and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
There will be a visitation from 6:00p.m. to 7:30p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Lewis Funeral Chapel. There will also be a graveside service at 10:00a.m. on Thurday July 2, 2026, with Pastor Steve Stewart to Officiate. Devon Holland, Brian Kidd, Donnie Swindle, Chris “Kickstand” Mayser, Michael Hauser, and Paul Dobbs will serve as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Artemis Project in Joyce’s memory, honoring her lifelong love of German Shepherds and her faithful companion, Sassy.
