Albert Lee Castleberry Sr., 77, of Moffett, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on June 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Albert was born on April 20, 1949, to Fan Dee Edna (Taylor) and Sam Houston Castleberry. He lived a life rooted in dedication, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family.

Albert committed 35 years of hard work and service to Whirlpool Corporation in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he later retired. He was a man of few words but possessed a heart full of love. He found joy in the simple things—especially spending time with his family and watching his favorite Westerns. His selflessness and steadfast devotion to those he loved will forever be remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Sam Castleberry; his brothers, Floyd Castleberry, Sam Castleberry, Theodore Castleberry, and Jimmy Castleberry; and his sister, Dora Castleberry.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 53 years, Elayne Castleberry (Shelton); his children, Kimberly Castleberry, Katherine May (Donald), Albert Castleberry, Jr. (Ulysia), and Jamie Castleberry (Angel); his brother, Monroe Castleberry; his sisters, Edna Mae Owens and Shirley Castleberry; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Kevinn, Jajuan, Rashawn, Julius, Jordan, Jaylen, Tatiana, Payton, and Ava; six great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends—all of whom he loved deeply.

His legacy of love, strength, and quiet faith will live on in all who knew him.

There will be a Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Payton Castleberry, Kevin Castleberry, Jajuan Castleberry, Rashawn Eubanks, Julius Plummer, and Jalen May will serve as pallbearers.
