CHI St. Vincent announced Tuesday (May 19) a new $5 million matching gift from Boots and Alan Warrick in support of the upcoming Anthony Center for Advanced Cardiac Care at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. The Anthony Center is named after John Ed and Isabel Anthony, whose previous $5 million gift made the creation of the center possible.

“We are proud to support St. Vincent and the creation of The Anthony Center for Advanced Cardiac Care with this gift,” said Warrick. “The heart health of the community is deeply important to our family. Both our families have suffered heart issues and passed away from heart disease. We want St. Vincent to be the preeminent heart treatment center in Arkansas.”

The Anthony Center for Advanced Cardiac Care will be the new standard for the diagnosis and treatment of heart-related conditions. The Anthony Center will allow CHI St. Vincent to continue to expand its heart program for the most complex cases, combining inpatient and outpatient heart care services including cardiac electrophysiology and cardiothoracic surgery programs in one location.

Construction is slated to begin this fall and is scheduled for completion in 2027.

“I am honored to receive this wonderful gift from Boots and Alan Warrick for the expansion of our heart program at the Infirmary.” said CHI St. Vincent market president William G. Jones, MD. “Our heart program at the Infirmary already treats the most complex cases in Arkansas and provides some of the best patient outcomes. This gift will allow us to expand our mission of treating the most vulnerable in the communities we serve.”

CHI St. Vincent Infirmary’s heart program is the largest heart program in Arkansas and boasts a patient satisfaction rating of more than 95%.

“Isabel and I are so proud to help establish the Anthony Center for Advanced Cardiac Care at St.Vincent.” said John Ed Anthony. “To have my long-time friend, Alan Warrick, join us in funding this project is yet another indication of how good people step up to do good things for Arkansas. Alan and I belong to the same fraternity at the university, and our wives are old friends.”
