Margaret Francis “Maggie” McEntire (Thacker)

Margaret “Maggie” Francis McEntire, 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in a local hospital. She was born on May 22, 1945 in Bells Hill, Scotland to Clarence and Mary (Bain) Thacker. Margaret was a restaurant business owner until retirement and then became a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband John McEntire and was of the Christian Faith.

Maggie was a very special person. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone especially her family. She loved her Sooners sports teams and loved watching boxing, but more than anything she loved her family, friends, and especially her granddaughter and great grandkids and talking on the phone with her best friend and sister, Marian. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was a special Mom, Gran, and Maggie to her family that can never be replaced. Our hearts are broken, but we have the best memories of knowing one of God’s special people.

She is survived by her son Todd McEntire of Fort Smith, AR; a sister, Marian Stanfill of Del City, OK; a granddaughter, Amanda Falcon and her husband Javier of Fort Smith, AR and four great grandchildren, Anthony, Adrian, Ava and Alec Falcon.

Graveside services are 10:00AM, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Steep Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

Pallbearers are Anthony, Adrian and Javier Falcon, Mark and Jeff Stanfill and Tony Smith.
