Jimmy Lee Ballard of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on September 17, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Jack J. Ballard and Annie Maude (Bonner) Ballard. He was 90 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Darryl Miller; and two sisters, Linda Mulson and Diana Pool.
Jimmy was a retired truck driver. He was owner and operator of Cab Transport in Paris, was a Korean War veteran, serving in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force, and he attended Paint Rock Church, located south of Paris.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Burial of cremains will be placed at Nixon Cemetery in Charleston at a later date.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley (Perry) Ballard; two sons, Jerry Miller of Altus and Roland Miller and wife Erin of Booneville; a daughter, Denise Evans and husband Ed of Cecil; his twin-brother, Johnny Ballard and wife Ollie of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; (7) grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a close family friend, Kyle Studer and wife Hollie of Ratcliff.
Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
