Marie A. Ray

Marie A. Ray, 94, of Fort Smith, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was born on November 26, 1930, in Mooreland, OK to the late Frank Croisant and Pearl Lehman Croisant. Marie was retired from Milgram’s Foods, and she was of the Baptist faith. Her and her husband Leonard loved to travel south into Mission, TX and camp in their fifth-wheel trailer, and go to the lake and fish. Marie made sure the kids swam, fished and water skied. She loved to entertain her kids, grandkids and other families. In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Ray, a granddaughter, Leann Barton and a sister, Helen Hannegan.

She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Field (Mike) of Fort Smith, a son, Bobby Ray (Virginia) of Lewisville, TX. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Leann, Brett and Barry, three great grandchildren, Aaron, Evan and Jagar and two great-great grandchildren, Emery and Beau.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home, Fort Smith.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, May 23, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
