Calvin Newton

Calvin Newton, age 78, of Van Buren, passed away on April 17, 2025. He was born on March 12, 1947, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Calvin was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Mary Newton; two children, Sarah and John; and four grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Lily, and Noah. Calvin was known for his love of fishing and spending time with his family. A memorial service will be held on April 20, 2025, at 2 PM at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Van Buren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
