Springdale-based Harps plans to soon open one of its 10Box Cost-Plus Food Stores in the Cloverleaf Plaza in Van Buren. It will be the 14th 10Box location for the grocery chain and will have around 28 full-time employees when it opens.

A grand opening for the 51,000-square-foot remodeled store at 120 Cloverleaf Plaza is set for 10 a.m. March 5. The company said it spent “in excess of $3 million” to renovate the existing building. In addition to the full-time workforce, Harps estimates it will have around 38 part-time workers at the store. Mark Thomas is the store manager.

“10Box Cost-Plus Food Store has been a trusted name in providing quality groceries at competitive prices for over a decade. We are excited to bring our unique shopping experience to the heart of Van Buren and become a part of this vibrant community,” the company noted in a press release.

The company said all items in its 10Box stores are priced at the “actual cost of the item, including all costs associated with getting the product from the manufacturer to the shelf, plus 10% at checkout.”

Harps has 10Box locations in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Harps announced in December its plans to open new stores in Conway and Fort Smith. The new Fort Smith Harps is being built near the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education in east Fort Smith.

Harps is a 100% employee-owned company that operates 145 stores in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Oklahoma. As the largest employee-owned company in Arkansas, Harps employs more than 6,500 people.
