The Arkansas Realtors Association (ARA) recently named industry veteran Andrea Alford as CEO.

Most recently, Alford served as the executive director of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC), where she was recognized for her expertise in public administration and real estate regulation.

“Andrea is a proven leader whose unmatched insight and creative thinking will further our efforts to advance excellence within our state’s real estate industry,” said Wes Freeman, ARA president. “I am confident she will be an invaluable asset to our growing ranks of more than 11,000 members across the state.”

Before joining the ARA, Alford spent 15 years at AREC, first as deputy executive director and then as executive director.

While there, she spearheaded professional development and industry engagement, including launching the AREC Educator Retreat and executing conferences and training programs.

Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles in the human resources field. A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, she holds state and national public manager certifications.

She is actively involved in the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials, previously serving on its board of directors and as senior district and district vice president. She is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.

The Arkansas Realtors Association touts itself as the “voice of real estate” and supports residential and commercial brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors and others engaged in the real estate industry through professional education, communications, technology, legal information and other services.
