Katie Eaves, who has practiced law in Northwest Arkansas for a decade, has launched a law practice in Rogers. The Eaves Firm is at 5104 S. Pinnacle Hills Parkway.

A Fayetteville native, Eaves joined Greenwood Gearhart, a locally owned independent wealth management firm in Fayetteville, in April 2021 as the firm’s first general counsel.

She said she’ll continue handling some Greenwood Gearhart matters, but opening a firm allows her the chance to build a legal practice.

“Ultimately, [the law firm] is a result of my love for practicing law and engaging with clients on intricate legal matters,” she said. “It is important to offer dedicated and personalized attention to clients as they navigate complex legal issues, while also expanding my services.

“My experience with the Greenwood Gearhart team was invaluable, and I am grateful for their support in my decision to return to the full-time practice of law. I’m excited to embark on a new chapter delivering exceptional transactional legal services with a more boutique, client-centered approach.”

Before going to work for Greenwood Gearhart, Eaves worked at Friday, Eldredge & Clark in Rogers. She joined the firm in 2017 as an associate in the trust and estate planning practice group and was later elected partner.

Eaves focuses her practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate matters, estate and gift taxation and formation, and planning for exempt organizations.

Eaves received a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Florida, a law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law and an undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas. She is a past president of the Benton County Bar Association.
