Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO James “Jim” Taiclet will headline the Arkansas Economic Development Foundation (AEDF) luncheon on Oct. 31 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.

Gov. Sarah Sanders will serve as featured speaker for the event.

Taiclet became president and CEO of Lockheed Martin in 2020 and chairman of the board in 2021.

The company’s focus under Taiclet has been accelerating the adoption of integrated, digital technologies (such as 5G, distributed cloud and AI) into the defense enterprise.

Lockheed Martin has more than 116,000 employees around the world, including more than 1,000 in Camden where it manufactures and tests advanced launchers, precision fires and munitions.

“We look forward to hearing Mr. Taiclet’s take on the state of the defense industry and how facilities, like Lockheed Martin’s rapidly growing facility in Camden, Arkansas, serve as an economic boon to our state and its hard-working residents,” said Gus Vratsinas, AEDF President.

Proceeds from the luncheon, a collaborative event being held by AEDF and the Arkansas Industrial and Economic Development Foundation (AIEDF), will benefit state economic development work through activities such as research and new business recruitment support led by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC).

Entergy and Stephens Inc. will once again serve as the corporate sponsors for the event.
