Mitchell Williams adds attorneys to national insurance regulatory practice

Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., a law firm with offices in in Little Rock, Rogers and Jonesboro as well as Austin, Texas, has added attorneys David Donahue, Jeff McWhirt and Lee Seidlits to its national Insurance Regulatory practice.

Donahue brings a strategic perspective to counseling his clients informed by his years of experience working in-house as associate general counsel at two leading national health insurance companies and in private practice. Focusing on insurance regulatory and transactional matters for corporate clients in the insurance and health care industries, Donahue advises clients on a variety of licensing, compliance, rulemaking and enforcement issues.

McWhirt has extensive experience in insurance law and insurance regulation, including excess and surplus lines. Combining his insurance knowledge with his previous experience as a deputy chief compliance officer for a large international specialty insurance broker, he assists clients in nationwide legal, regulatory and compliance matters and interactions with state departments of insurance, insurance regulators and investigators.

Seidlits is an insurance transactional and regulatory attorney with an international practice advising insurance companies and other entities on issues relating to insurance regulation, transactions involving insurance entities and state insurance department enforcement matters. As a former regulator with the Texas Department of Insurance, he has extensive knowledge of insurance law and understands what clients face when under regulatory scrutiny.
