Fast 15: Cameron Clark

Cameron Clark has enjoyed being a proponent of growth in Northwest Arkansas. The Fayetteville native only expects it to continue.

In 2015, Clark graduated early from the University of Arkansas, earning a bachelor’s degree in international relations. He was accepted to teach English in Madrid but decided to remain in Fayetteville because his friends were UA seniors, and he wasn’t ready to leave.

Meanwhile, he transitioned from a part-time to a full-time sales position at collegiate apparel company B-Unlimited, which his father co-owns. There, Clark was director of business development and helped lead the sales team to increase revenue by five times in five years.

In 2020, he joined those looking to make a career pivot after he and his wife acquired some rental properties. He enjoyed the development aspect of real estate and started reaching out to his industry contacts.

A family friend who grew up with Clinton Bennett in Pocahontas suggested commercial brokerage. At about that time, Bennett was starting his firm.

“We got connected, and there was a lot of synergy between us,” Clark said. “He worked for his dad the first seven years out of college, kind of like me, and we got along.”

In June 2020, Clark joined Bennett Commercial Real Estate and soon learned that working in commercial real estate was what he “was born to do. I love it.”

Clark primarily handles retail and office brokerage. He’s completed over $50 million in sales and lease transactions and advised more than 40 regional business owners and investors on decisions made in the Northwest Arkansas market.

“There’s a lot of motivation for me wanting to be the best at the trade,” he said. “I have a drive to get better and to learn.”

Some of the most challenging aspects of the job comprise educating others on the growing market, including its low commercial vacancy rate and often higher-than-expected pricing for area office or retail space.

Clark and some business partners recently started a redevelopment project for downtown Fayetteville’s old Tables & Ale building. It’s expected to include a restaurant and retail store.

He supports Fellowship Bible Church in Fayetteville and is a graduate of Leadership Fayetteville and a board member for the area CCIM chapter. He enjoys cycling, hiking and pickleball.
