Searcy-based healthcare provider Unity Health held a grand opening celebration Wednesday (Feb. 15) for its new state-of-the-art hospital in Jacksonville.

Phase one of Unity Health-Jacksonville, which is slated to open in early March at 1400 Braden Street, will expand the hospital system’s patient care in the Jacksonville community. It will employ 112 workers when it officially opens.

The new hospital includes:

  • Diagnostic imaging, including CT, MRI, mammography, x-ray and ultrasound;
  • Observation and acute inpatient rooms;
  • A 24-bed inpatient behavioral health unit; and
  • An on-site lab and pharmacy.

“We are excited to bring our world-class healthcare closer to home by opening Unity Health’s third acute care hospital in Jacksonville,” said Unity Health President and CEO Mark Amox. “In this facility, we bring you expert, compassionate medical care backed by the proven trust, quality and stability of Unity Health.”
