ASBTDC to offer three-part business series for entrepreneurs of color

Dr. Mario Wallace will lead “Small Business Strategies for Success,” a new online series hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center in partnership with Remix Ideas and Hope Credit Union.

The three-part series starts Aug. 2.

This virtual course is designed for prospective and current entrepreneurs of color, including startups or existing businesses.

Wallace will discuss key business systems, the roles the systems play in day-to-day operations, and methods for using systems to create consistency, efficiency, and better customer service.

Wallace is founder and president of All Things Strategic. His expertise is in process improvement, change management, leadership development, and strategic management. Prior to starting his own consulting company, he was director of the Office of Strategy Management at UAMS.

The online sessions are on Monday evenings, Aug, 2, 9, and 16, from 6-8. Topics for each session:

  • Aug. 2 – Industry framework and marketing systems for acquiring and retaining customers, building a culture of trust, and upselling
  • Aug. 9 – Value-driven operations
  • Aug. 16 – A budgeting system for optimal business decisions

During each class, an attendee will receive a $25 gift card sponsored by Hope Credit Union.

There is no fee to participate, but pre-registration is required.
