Northwest Arkansas business and community leaders are invited to participate in a voter participation forum hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Council and EngageNWA. The event will take place through a virtual format on Sept. 25 between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.

The digital forum is designed for business and community leaders to learn about corporate and small-business efforts and strategies designed to increase voter participation in the 2020 election. Arkansas Secretary of State John Thurston will give an overview of the state’s approach to the election.

The event is moderated by Randy Wilburn, founder and host of the I Am Northwest Arkansas podcast. An audience Q&A will follow the moderated panel. The panel will include Mike Harvey, COO of the Council; Thurston; Lee Bansil, vice president of corporate communications at Tyson Foods; Lee Culpepper, vice president of public affairs at Walmart; and Karen Gillespie, Kitestring corporate council.

Participants will also get access to a voter toolkit following the event. The kit will include tips for businesses to help get out the vote, important dates and deadlines and additional resources.
