Dallas-based electrical wholesale distributor City Electric Supply recently announced it has opened stores in Jonesboro and Alexander and has plans to open other locations in Arkansas.

The 6,600-square-foot Jonesboro store is at 4210 Access Road, and the 11,200-square-foot Alexander store is at 13325 Interstate 30, southwest of Little Rock. The company also has a store in Batesville at 606 Lawrence St.

“Over the next few years, City Electric Supply plans to open multiple locations in the state of Arkansas,” said district manager Rusty Priest.

The company has 13 employees in Arkansas, including four each at the Jonesboro and Batesville locations and five at the Alexander store. The company employs more than 3,000 people in its more than 500 branches across the United States.

“CES will continue to expand in Arkansas,” said Blair Feidler, vice president of operations. “And that success will be driven by people who are looking for new opportunities with a company that will invest and grow with them.”

Johnny Alliston is the branch manager for the Alexander location. Alliston started working for the company in 2018 and has worked in the industry since 1992.

“I have been to many training programs and have many years of experience to add to my team, which had a combined 50 years of experience,” Alliston said.

Kris Hammons is the branch manager for the Jonesboro location. Hammons and the employees there have a combined 50 years of experience in the commercial, residential and industrial markets.

City Electric Supply is family-owned and was founded in 1951 by Tom Mackie in the United Kingdom. It expanded to the United States in 1983.
