Gov. Hutchinson announces judicial, board appointments

Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Thursday (Jan. 16) announced the following appointments:

Niel Crowson, Jonesboro, to the Board of Trustees of Arkansas State University. Appointment expires January 14, 2025. Reappointment.

Gary Golden, De Queen, to the Board of Trustees of Southern Arkansas University. Appointment expires January 14, 2025. Replaces David Nelson.

Boyce Hamlet, Conway, to the Parole Board. Appointment begins January 27, 2020. Appointment expires January 14, 2022. Replaces John Belken.

Chuck Graham, Cabot, to the State Crime Laboratory Board. Appointment expires January 14, 2027. Reappointment.

Brian Todd, White Hall, to the Criminal Justice Institute Advisory Board. Appointment expires January 14, 2023. Reappointment.

Dr. Larry West, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas State Board of Registration for Professional Soil Classifiers. Appointment expires November 1, 2024. Replaces Richard Vaught.

Dr. David O’Dell, Jacksonville, to the Arkansas Board of Podiatric Medicine. Appointment expires August 31, 2022. Replaces Adam Davis.

Janelle Smith, Pine Bluff, to the Arkansas State Respiratory Care Examining Committee. Appointment expires August 7, 2022. Replaces Mary Ann Winter Herring.

Maureen Harrod, Heber Springs, as a Special County Judge in the County Court of Independence County, Arkansas. Independence County Court Case Number: CO-2019-01. Replaces Independence County Judge Robert Griffin, who has disqualified himself from the case.

Johnny Mitchum, Maumelle, to the Auctioneer’s Licensing Board. Appointment expires April 15, 2023. Reappointment.
