Batesville-based Citizens Bank is adding a new location in Monticello.

Once complete, the new financial center will be located at 236 Highway 425 North and will merge the employees and operations of the bank’s two current locations in Monticello into the new space.

“Citizens Bank has connected with the needs of consumers and commercial entities throughout Southeast Arkansas,” said Chris Lampkin, Citizens Bank’s Market President for Southeast Arkansas. “We are proud of the growth we have achieved, but even more proud of the opportunity we have been given to serve the diverse individual and business needs of so many customers in this area.”

Founded in 1953, Citizens Bank is an $890 million financial services organization with locations in Batesville, Cave City, Pleasant Plains, Hot Springs, Little Rock, Imboden, Mountain View, Arkadelphia, Portland, Fayetteville, Rogers, Monticello, and Crossett.

“This new state-of-the-art structure represents a major investment in Monticello and Drew County,” said Phil Baldwin, Citizens Bank CEO. “It also demonstrates Citizens Bank’s confidence in the economic growth of this region of the state now and into the future.”
