Little Rock investment banking group Stephens Inc. announced the hiring of Sarah Pickens as vice president within its Private Client Group. She is based at Stephens’ Wall Street office in New York City.

“Each day our team of advisors works to provide clients with unparalleled counsel and advice,” said Kevin Scanlon, executive vice president and head of Stephens’ Private Client Group. “The addition of Sarah not only underscores our commitment to excellent service, but also to the next generation of advisors and clients.”

According to company officials, Pickens has more than 10 years of expertise in private wealth management, including previously working as a wealth advisor at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based BB&T since 2005. During her tenure at the East Coast banking group, Pickens’ clients included high net worth families, business owners, and corporate executives. In addition, she also managed a team of five private banking advisors and graduated top of her class in the BB&T Leadership Development Banking School.

“I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that shares my core belief that strong client relationships are the cornerstone of wealth management and are paramount to long-term success,” said Pickens. “I look forward to helping the Private Client Group continue to grow.”
