Bettis buys Arkansas Business Publishing Group

Mitch Bettis, the current president of Arkansas Business Publishing Group, is acquiring the long-standing media company through a newly formed LLC, Five Legged Stool. Bettis will become the CEO of ABPG and current CEO Olivia Farrell will retire.
Terms of the deal, which will become effective Feb. 28, were not disclosed.
Arkansas Business Publishing Group owns Arkansas Business, Little Rock Soiree, Little Rock Family, and web company Flex 360.
ABPG was founded in 1995, according to the company. Arkansas Business originated in 1984 as part of the Arkansas Writers Project.
Bettis joined ABPG in 2013 as general manager and publisher. He previously worked for GateHouse Media overseeing publishing, editorial and sales in Arkansas and Louisiana.
ABPG employs 65 people at its Little Rock office.
