Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus to host series of town halls

The Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus will launch a series of town hall meetings in eight cities across the state beginning Thursday, June 1 in Fort Smith. The meetings are slated for member districts and will be held throughout June and July.
The town halls will focus on legislative issues related to the recently concluded regular and special sessions. All constituents, local leaders, media and members of the public are invited to attend.
“The Caucus is holding these meetings to inform and just be accountable to the approximately 350,000 people we represent throughout the state,” said Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus Chair Rep. Vivian Flowers, D-Pine Bluff. “There were over 2,000 bills filed in the general session and about a dozen in the May special session that we will ensure that our constituents access and understand.”
