Recipients of UnitedHealthcare health insurance plans will continue to have access to CHI St. Vincent hospitals, physicians and other services, according to a news release.

On Friday (April 14), Little Rock-based CHI St. Vincent and UnitedHealthcare announced the healthcare plans, including employer-sponsored and individual, will still be allowed and that Medicare health plans will also be accepted.

“We are pleased to be able to provide uninterrupted healthcare services to the patients we serve throughout Arkansas,” said Chad Aduddell, CEO of CHI St. Vincent. “As we work toward developing new models of care focused on higher quality and lower costs, it is important we receive fair and reasonable payments to continue our ministry. We believe our continued relationship with UnitedHealthcare allows the two of us to work together to better serve the needs of our patients.”

Greg Reidy, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Arkansas, was grateful for the “commitment CHI St. Vincent has made to value-based healthcare,” and the company looks “forward to working together to help people receive personalized and more connected care.”

UnitedHealthcare is a business of healthcare company UnitedHealth Group, based in Minnesota.
