Dave Pinson, president of Fort Smith-based Trinity Multifamily, has added the title of CEO, the company announced Wednesday.

The promotion is effective immediately.

“Dave has been instrumental to our growth and success and we are certain this will continue under his leadership and guidance,” a company news release read.

Cliff Cabaness, the previous CEO who co-founded the company in 2003 with John Baxter, will remain on the company’s board of directors, Pinson said.

Pinson, 37, joined the company as a regional director in 2011. He was named president in April 2015. In that time he has overseen the successful takeover and integration of over 6,000 units and expanded the firm’s footprint.

Trinity Multifamily now manages about 10,000 apartments, condos, duplexes, and homes in five states — Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. Pinson said about a third of those units are in Northwest Arkansas.

Pinson’s tenure in the property management industry has included previous roles as director of housing and residential life at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, and area coordinator at both Arkansas Tech University (his alma mater) and Morningside College in Iowa.
