Northwest Arkansas bank executive Joe Spivey, who led Mountain Home-chartered Integrity First Bank’s entry into Northwest Arkansas in June 2013, has left the company to return to one of his previous employers.

Spivey, 57, has accepted a business development and community relations role with First Security Bank as a senior vice president. He’ll work at the West Walnut Street location in Rogers and report to Mike Power and Stewart Baguley, the chief operations officer and market president, respectively, who oversee the bank’s six branches  — Rogers (3), Bentonville (2) and Lowell — that comprise its Benton County market.

Spivey, who was a vice president with First Security Bank from 2003 to 2006, will begin his second tenure with the company on Aug. 31.

“I am looking forward to going back,” Spivey said. “It’s a great opportunity and a great chance to return to people I respect. I have continued to admire the Rutledge family and what Mr. [Reynie] Rutledge has done to grow the bank. I’m glad to be wearing the teal green colors again.”

As of June 30, First Security Bank, headquartered in Searcy, had 78 banking offices in Arkansas with assets of $5.1 billion.

“Joe is the ultimate community banker in Benton County and we are excited to have him back on our team,” said Adam Rutledge, CEO and president of First Security’s Northwest Arkansas market. “When he worked with us before, it was a very pleasant experience for both parties, so this is a very nice homecoming for both of us. His values and culture align really well with ours, and we are excited about the future with him being a big part of our team in Benton County.”

Spivey accepted a job as Integrity First Bank’s market president in 2013. He helped the bank grow from a single loan-production office in Rogers, to full-service branches in Bentonville and Fayetteville. Both opened in 2015, and Sonny Delgado assumed duties as Washington County market president, based at the Fayetteville location.

Spivey’s last day as IFB’s Benton County market president was Aug. 23. Before joining the bank three years ago, he had previously worked for Liberty Bank, where he had been Northwest Arkansas community president since 2006.

Spivey is a member of the Northwest Arkansas Community College board of directors. His term expires Dec. 31 this year, though he intends to run for re-election.

He is also a member of the board of directors of the Carroll Electric Cooperative Corp., a nonprofit electric utility cooperative headquartered in Berryville with a district office in Bentonville.
