Carl George, Sarah Clark Named to The New School Board of Trustees

The New School in Fayetteville announced Friday the appointment of Carl George and Sarah Clark to its board of trustees for the 2016-17 academic year.

George is co-CEO and president of George’s Inc., a fourth-generation poultry company headquartered in Springdale. George joined the executive team at George’s in 2006 and was named senior vice president in 2009, with responsibility for the Arkansas/Missouri complex operations.

Appointed to his current position in 2013, he is currently responsible for leading all live production and plant operations.

Clark is president at Mitchell, a full-service public relations firm headquartered in Fayetteville with locations in New York and Chicago.

She has more than 25 years of experience as a communications professional, the last five at Mitchell, where she has guided the company to a 26.5 percent annual growth rate.

Clark’s previous employer was Wal-Mart Stores Inc., where she was a senior member of the corporate communications team.

Other board members for the 2016-17 school year are Edward Prewitt (chair), Michael Chaney (vice chair), Mandy Hunt (secretary), John Wright (treasurer), Susan Celentano, Monika Hatfield, Bob Kohler, Suguna Madaiah, Nathaniel Marler, Amy Merryman, Jane Sanker, Shelley Simmons and Adrienne Wagner.
