Arvest Bank Veteran Jeb Mills Dies at 55

Joseph Edward Bryan “Jeb” Mills of Fayetteville, who worked for Arvest Bank Group Inc. for nearly 30 years, died April 28 in Fayetteville after a short battle with cancer. He was 55.

Mills was executive vice president and sales manager for Arvest Bank subsidiary Arvest Wealth Management (previously known as Arvest Asset Management) for 28 years.

He had worked for the past year in a business development capacity for Arvest Bank.

“Jeb was a valued and respected member of the Arvest family, and he will be greatly missed by us all,” the company said in a statement. “Our prayers are with his family at this difficult time.”

Mills, according to his obituary, was a Forrest City native and University of Arkansas graduate. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville and served on the building and finance committees, as well as the school’s board of directors.

He also served on the board of directors for The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas, The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Fayetteville Country Club.

Funeral services through Moores Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville were held May 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville.
