We hear that Eric Wood, a member of our Forty Under 40 class of 2015, is leaving Northwest Arkansas after accepting a job offer to be the new senior associate athletic director for academic services at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Wood worked at the University of Arkansas since 2009, and was promoted to associate athletic director for student-athlete services in 2011. His final day was March 15.

At UCF, in addition to having duties in the office of academic services for student-athletes, Wood will also serve as sport administrator for men’s basketball and oversee the Knights strength and conditioning department.

Even more importantly, as we understand it, the move to UCF affords Wood the chance to be closer to family, who live in the area.

Wood said he plans to be back in Fayetteville this December when he earns his doctorate degree.

Elsewhere on the Forty Under 40 beat, Amy Linimon is also starting a new chapter as a senior account executive with IMG-Razorback Sports Properties in Fayetteville.

Linimon, a member of our Forty Under 40 class of 2013, was previously the director of development & external relations for the Washington Regional Medical Foundation in Fayetteville for nearly six years. Her final day was March 18.

It is always a pleasure when we get to share the professional achievements of our Forty Under 40 alums.

Continued success to both.
